Joycelyn Lewis, Executive Director
Joycelyn, (pronounced JOYce-Lin). I ask everyone to keep the joy in my name because I need all the joy I can get. :)
I consider myself to be an overcomer. I have overcome the obstacles of growing up in a single parent low-income inner city household and pursued the call that God has placed on my life.
I am a native of Lexington, Ky and have served with Equipping Lydia since 2012 in numerous capacities. I am passionate about leading retreats for those who are in need of spiritual renewal, mentoring those who sense a call to be spiritual formation leaders, preaching, formative spirituality, organizational, congregational and leadership development.
If you want to get me excited, give me a problem that needs to be solved related to leadership, congregational or organizational development. God has graced me with the gift of asking probing questions that get to the heart of a problem along with wisdom to provide practical solutions.
I enjoy reading, painting, photography and writing. My love for my husband Wendell, daughter Dominae, son Darius, grandson Josiah, five goddaughters, extended family and friends motivate me to live my legacy through living out my unique communal call.
