Joycelyn L. Lewis

Executive Director

 Joycelyn Lewis (pronounced JOYce-Lin) is an overcomer. She overcame the obstacles of growing up in a single parent low-income inner city household and pursued the call that God had on her life.  She is a native of Lexington, Ky and has served with Equipping Lydia since 2012 in numerous capacities.  

Joycelyn is passionate about 

 leading retreats for those who need of spiritual renewal, mentoring those who sense a call to be spiritual formation leaders, preaching formative spirituality, organizational, congregational and leadership development.

If you want to get Joycelyn excited, give her a problem that needs to be solved related to leadership, congregational or organizational development.  She is gifted at asking probing questions that get to the heart of a problem along with wisdom to provide practical solutions.  

Joycelyn enjoys reading, painting, photography and writing. Her love for her husband Wendell, daughter Dominae, son Darius, grandson Josiah,  five goddaughters, extended family and friends motivates her to live her legacy through living out her unique communal call. 

She has her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation,

a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership,

She is currently completing the second year of the two-year certification program in formative spirituality at the Epiphany Association in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
